Seedbed Update – November 2014

Published Date: October 22, 2014

One of our fastest growing projects at Seedbed has been the OneBook Daily Text, a daily meditation written by our Sower-In-Chief, JD Walt, in response to a scripture passage. For the last few months, we’ve beenNotYetChristmas Front CVR SM journeying through the book of Acts with a focus on inviting the Holy Spirit into our lives — every week, day, hour, and minute.

Soon, we’ll be joining the larger church in switching our focus to the season of Advent, and in that spirit, we’re excited to announce JD’s new book, Not Yet Christmas: It’s Time for Advent — A Daily Reader. If you’re not part of the Daily Text community, consider this your official invitation. We want to share with you the same explanation and offer we’ve extended to this special group. Many leaders have found the Daily Text a good way to invite their communities into Seedbed.

But we even want to take it a step further by offering our Asbury Alumni family the opportunity to download a FREE digital copy of Not Yet Christmas. For church leaders, this resource packs some serious punch as a churchwide Advent study, but it’s also great when read with a small group or as a personal Advent devotional. However it can work best for you, we invite you to download and enjoy!

Fill out the form here, and we’ll send the e-book to your email.

  1. […] Many families celebrate Advent at home with an Advent Wreath. If you would like to use an Advent Wreath at home and would like a daily guide, check out Creighton University’s Praying Advent page (it still says 2014, but it has been updated). You may also choose to use an Advent Calendar or an Advent Devotional. […]
