A Call to Travailing Prayer

A few weeks ago we at Seedbed released a refreshed brand look, and version 3.0 of our website. It’s been a special time as we’ve reflected on our first four years and looked ahead to those to come.

During this time of reflection we’ve also been refocusing our collective hearts on the important work of prayer. We sow for a great awakening, but we know awakening will come only by the power of God. Our friend and senior adviser to the New Room Conference and Network, Dr. David Thomas, has taught us that wherever awakening has come it has always been preceded by the Spirit saturated prayers of God’s people. Prayer is something that’s never mastered, but rather grows stronger and more compelling as it’s practiced.

Last week, Asbury Seminary closed for a day of prayer and fasting as we cried out to the Lord for vision and provision. It’s these acts of humility, gratitude, and obedience that mark us as the Lord’s holy and set apart people. We’re honored to work under the kind of reverent leadership that chooses to couple planning and strategy with supernatural expectation.seedbed

If this is your heart, we’ve worked with David to put together a free Seedbed Short, To Sow for a Great Awakening: A Call to Travailing Prayer, which will teach and guide you.

Here we publicly commit to band together in ways large and small, public and hidden, humble and bold, for the purpose of united travailing prayer. And we hope that you’ll join Seedbed and Asbury Theological Seminary in it.
