Ministry Conference March 7-10, 2016: Marked by Grace

Published Date: January 26, 2016

WILMORE, KY—Asbury Theological Seminary hosts Ministry Conference 2016, March 7-10. This year’s theme is “Marked by Grace: Your Life in Christ’s Mission,” and will be the last in a long series of successful events known as Ministry Conference.

In recent years Asbury has been at the center of one of the most dynamic conference series’ in the country, known as New Room. Since its inaugural year in 2014, New Room has more than quadrupled in size and scope, presenting a unique opportunity to partner with the Beeson Center. “Rather than offering a single annual Ministry Conference in Wilmore, we seek to expand New Room to include the launch of three regional gatherings as well,” remarked Dr. Timothy Tennent, President of Asbury Seminary.
Ministry Conference has always been a time for spiritual refreshment. This year’s conference promises to be no different. Keynote speakers Alex McManus and Dr. Stephen Seamands explore resources for healthy ministry, confidence in spirit-guided risk-taking, and ways to lead into the future.

Alex McManus launches and serves communities of faith and leadership throughout the world. He served at Mosaic Church in Los Angeles that met at a downtown nightclub, as both point pastor and lead navigator for all of Mosaic’s ministries. He recently released his new book, Makers of Fire: The Spirituality of Leading from the Future (2014).

Dr. Stephen Seamands leads seminars, retreats and spiritual renewal events across the United States. His book, Ministry in the Image of God: The Trinitarian Shape of Christian Service (InterVarsity Press, 2005), received the 2006 Christianity Today Award of Merit for books in the area of church and pastoral leadership.
