GLEN LAKE CAMP AND RETREAT CENTER ANNOUNCES NEW EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

Glen Rose, Texas – The Central Texas Conference of The United Methodist Church and Glen Lake Camp and Retreat Center announce, their new Executive Director, Natalie Davidson (ATS M.A. 2010).

Having spent the last six years as a director with Glen Lake, Natalie Davidson comes with a wealth of experience in camping ministry. Receiving her Master of Christian Arts in Education from Asbury Theological Seminary, Natalie worked as a national recruiter for the seminary and also served as youth director for several Central Texas United Methodist churches. Her experience brings leadership, team building, and organizational skills combined with a passion for the outdoors to create a solid connection with Christian camping ministry.

Serving most recently as Director of Operations, Davidson is instrumental in running daily operations, managing staff, programming, and planning for both summer camps and retreats at Glen Lake and our retreat facility, Still Water Lodge. Mike Ford, Glen Lake Camp’s summer Interim Executive Director, stated, “I’ve had the opportunity to work beside Natalie the entire summer season. She has a complete grasp on every area of program and operations while understanding the big picture. She demonstrated her ability to make solid decisions and lead the staff effectively. I know what it takes to lead at Glen Lake and I believe Natalie will move this ministry to new heights.”

Bishop Lowry said, “We are delighted to have Natalie become a part of the Central Texas Conference staff as the Executive Director of Glen Lake Camp. She brings a heart for Christ, a depth of experience at Glen Lake, and an enthusiastic skill set. I would also want to publicly say how much we appreciate Mike Ford for his outstanding work as the interim director.”
